Classic Princess & Pirate ~ Real Party Feature!

Today's party feature comes to us all the way from the United States of America! Super gorgeous, this Classic Princess & Pirate party was styled and hosted by Tali from A Party Studio.

I love the gorgeous rose and blue colour scheme, especially the pretty pink carnations, one of my favourite flowers.  The choc coated strawberries are also really sweet and love the use of both a Princess Crown and Pirate ship on the printables.

Tali thanks for sharing your gorgeous party with us xx

Here's what Tali had to say about the details ...

My daughter wanted a princess party for her birthday but since she had a few boys on her guest list, we decided to make it a classic princess and pirate party. The colors she wanted were pink and more pink (of course) and she agreed that we could add blue and teal. We kept the look very simple- with a pretty crown to keep the princesses happy and a ship for the pirates. I really enjoyed designing the printables.
When guests walked through the front door, they were able to pick out a pretty princess costume to wear with a wand and tiara, or a pirate eye patch. The guests loved dressing up and changing in to various dresses
For the dessert table, we had home made vanilla cake pops, vanilla cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, popcorn in cones, Hershey kisses, marshmallow and of course a pretty two tier chocolate and fudge cake and gold coins (pirate treasure).

We tried to keep the party food in keeping with this fun theme and we served: royal heart and butterfly fairy bread, caprese sword kabobs, catch of the day (goldfish), ships n dips, a fruit platter suitable for a royal princess. Of course, we also served pizza because that is a huge hit with pirates and princesses alike.
Since the children at the birthday party ranged in age between two and five, we decided to skip traditional party games. Instead we had a craft station (loads of foam stickers and star wands to decorate) and a glitter tattoo station. Everyone loved the glitter tattoos, even the adults.

'Fit for a Princess' ~ Real Party Feature!

Today's party feature comes from one of my gorgeous clients, Anita and I am excited to share her daughter Julia's 'Fit for a Princess' party with you all.

Anita styled a gorgeous pink shabby chic style dessert table laid out with lolly filled glass jars, gingerbread cookies, cupcakes and lollipops.  Soft floral background and gorgeous mirror centerpiece set the table off perfectly.

Beautiful Princess table setting complete with tiara and wand for each little guest.  Love the cutlery tied together with a pretty bow, a simple addition to really make the table special.

The theme was carried across to the 'favour table' where guests received a selection of gorgeous goodies as a thank you.

Well done Anita on such a beautiful party, Julia is one lucky little girl!

"The Princess & Her Castle" ~ Real Party Feature!

Another delightful Princess party to show you today! Submitted by Leora of 'Party Cakes and Cupcakes by Leora', of her daughter Alyssa's 4th Birthday.

Dessert table edged with pretty pink tulle set the scene for this gorgeous princess party complete with princess hat, crowns & of course a Castle cake!

Now you may see a trend of cakes being a highlight for me (yes i'm just slightly addicted to sweets) but can you honestly look at this cake and not want to devour your computer screen?  A gorgeous three layer Neapolitan Mudcake ( a layer of strawberry white chocolate mudcake, vanilla white chocolate mudcake and chocolate mudcake with a layer of chocolate ganache in between each layer of cake.) Yum!! Not to mention how perfectly it was decorated into this fabulous princess castle, just stunning!

Other pretty highlights are the lovely Princess banner, chocolate wrappers and party box labels by Stockberry Studios and gorgeous Robert Gordon baking cups filled with lollies and popcorn; I love seeing baking cups used other than for cupcakes.  So simple but so effective!
