Today's real party feature comes to us from Amber Salvia, a gorgeous pink and white 1st Birthday for her daughter Alexia.  The theme was Paper Accordions and Doilies, how unique!

Amber made all the decorations, cake and dessert herself and what a beautiful job she did.  I adore the 'Alexia' banner and the delicate details on the cake.  Also love the table setting, very pretty!

Strawberry & Pink Party ~ Real Party Feature!

Birthday parties are about celebrating the life of a special someone.  It doesn't matter if you have a lot of money to spend or a little amount.  It doesn't matter if your details & set up are completely perfect or if they are not.   What makes a birthday party perfect is not only the details but the love and effort that goes into planning and preparing the special day for your loved one and the beautiful memories made of a wonderful day shared with those who matter most.

Today, I would like to show the sweetest 'Strawberry & Pink' themed first birthday, submitted by Naomi Gonelli of her daughter Jemimah's 1st birthday.  The email I received regarding Jemimah's party outlined all the various family members who helped make this day magical and it was just bursting with love & affection, it brought tears to my eyes!

Well done Naomi and all your family who helped put together this gorgeous little party!

Jemimah's mummy made the gorgeous name bunting.  Sweet Strawberry cake made by a cousin.  Cute high chair cover made by Toteally Treasured. 

Jemimah's big brothers 10 & 5 made the cupcakes and decorated them.  Mini pavs made by Grandma and the sweet heart sandwiches were made by a special Aunty.

On Jemimah's birthday, the day before the party, they went and picked the strawberries from a local berry farm.  Pretty striped straws from Sweet Little Birdy. 

The beautiful birthday girl in her special outfit, dress from Isla's Cottage & hat from Lani Banani. 

Again, thank you for sharing the special day with us.  Im sure little Jemimah will look back on these photos in years to come and feel the love and effort put into making her first birthday wonderful!

'Sweet' Pink Baby Shower ~ Real Party Feature!

This 'Sweet' pink baby shower comes to us from Jodie-Lee Hoe of Leegirl Pretties.

Jodie-Lee put on this gorgeous shower for her sister Melanie who was expecting her second daughter and the theme chosen was 'Sweet' because little girls are oh so sweet!

The dessert table filled with yummy lollies, biscuits and slices was decorated with pretty handmade items such as buffet tags and bunting, with a beautiful hand decorated 'Sweet' scripted word being the centerpiece.

Amongst other shower games, each guest was given a card to fill out with 'My best piece of advice I can offer you is...' this was then made into a gorgeous mini scrapbook as a special memento of the day. 

Guests were thanked with gorgeous pink swirl lollipops with matching handmade tags and the little guests were  rewarded with special goody bags and bubble wands!

Happy Birthday To Me

I Love Birthdays. Well, all birthdays except my own that is.

The thrill of my birthday wore off once I became a ‘grown up’ and I don’t usually do much, but since my family were all going to come up to see me anyway I figured on Thursday, why not put on a pretty afternoon tea , just for fun! Plus I really wanted to test out some of the cute girly products I have in stock, all the pink ones of course! In a home with three boys there isn’t much room for pink so it was lovely to set up a really girly table.

For my table I pulled things from around my house to decorate the table plus pink plates, gorgeous polka dot napkins and pink stripe straws in bottles of red creaming soda. So much more fun drinking out of a funky straw :)

Also used gorgeous ‘Pink Spot’ cupcake wrappers that I have recently added to our range from The Cupcake Wrapper Co. Now these look gorgeous in the pack but to actually use them on the cakes, they are just awesome! I love them, they really did make all the difference and along with some gorgeous handmade cupcake toppers, made simply decorated cupcakes look divine.   A big thanks also to my lovely sister for making me a super cute pink birthday cake!

As I was sharing my birthday with Father’s Day this year, we had the afternoon tea on Saturday so everyone could just relax and enjoy the afternoon. It really was lovely to do something nice for my birthday and amazing how something as simple as a pretty table can really make it feel that extra bit special. That and beautiful family of course :)
