Declan's Pinwheels & Balloons 2nd Birthday Party

It was my little man Declan's 2nd Birthday two weeks ago and im excited to share some snaps of his little party with you.  After such a big joint party last year we decided to just do small parties for the kids this year with immediate family, but I still wanted to do a cute little set up to make his day special!

We decided on Pinwheels & Balloons for the theme as Decky is in love with both and we decorated with lots of bright, fun colours.   Declan chose a horsey cake from the Women's Day Cake book, which ive been eagerly awaiting the boys being old enough to do this and found it so much fun pointing out cakes I had as a child from the same book!

Bubble wands and a little bubble machine we had set up were definitely a highlight for all the kids, so simple, but so much fun!

'Wonka' Birthday Bash ~ Real Party Feature!

Today's gorgeous 'Wonka' themed party comes to us from Naomi of 'Cupcake Party' planned for her own  birthday bash!  

With everything Wonka, from golden ticket invitations to a chocolate fountain, this bright and colourful party is lolly heaven!  The handmade buffet labels were gorgeous incorporating all the movie characters and i adore the 'lickable wallpaper' - a super cute detail! 

And how wonderful is the cake, made as a birthday gift for Naomi by her close friend Louise from Cake Decorating Central.

'Sweet' Pink Baby Shower ~ Real Party Feature!

This 'Sweet' pink baby shower comes to us from Jodie-Lee Hoe of Leegirl Pretties.

Jodie-Lee put on this gorgeous shower for her sister Melanie who was expecting her second daughter and the theme chosen was 'Sweet' because little girls are oh so sweet!

The dessert table filled with yummy lollies, biscuits and slices was decorated with pretty handmade items such as buffet tags and bunting, with a beautiful hand decorated 'Sweet' scripted word being the centerpiece.

Amongst other shower games, each guest was given a card to fill out with 'My best piece of advice I can offer you is...' this was then made into a gorgeous mini scrapbook as a special memento of the day. 

Guests were thanked with gorgeous pink swirl lollipops with matching handmade tags and the little guests were  rewarded with special goody bags and bubble wands!

'Oh So Chic' Vintage 1st ~ Real Party Feature!

This stylish Vintage Chic party, comes to us today from Skye Tiernan of Little Pearl Designs.

Skye used a pink, beige, white and grey colour scheme to create this pretty and intimate gathering for her daughter Lily's 1st Birthday.  With the main sweets table outlaid on a gorgeous vintage dressing table, the 'Vintage Chic Party Suite' printables by My Little Jedi matched perfectly, as did the double layer lemon and coconut cake with lemon butter-cream frosting, decorated simply with beautiful intial blocks by Lilly Pilly Arts.  

Other gorgeous decorations included tulle pom poms by Magic Stardust, candy jar and spotty tablecloth by Sweet Little Birdy and the gorgeous Musk and Sequined Pin board by Little Pearl Designs, that took pride of place on the sweets table.  And whats a vintage party without the use of some lace doilies, worked into the pretty happy birthday banner, just lovely!

'Sweet at One' ~ Real Party Feature!

A super cute 1st Birthday to share with you today, submitted by Amanda Sattary of her son Ethan's 1st Birthday.

Basing the party theme on the gorgeous 'Sweet at One' jungle tableware, Amanda worked with a mix of green, blue and orange decorations, sweets and savories to style this fun & bright party!  Printables in the same theme by Chimps Party Goods, cupcakes in bright Paper Eskimo baking cups & two tier birthday cake with cute jungle decorations set the style perfectly.

Party favors/ thank you's were jungle animal clappers for the kiddies from Wicker Lime & for the adults yummy cookies in CD holders, inspired by the Super Organiser Mum blog.

"The Princess & Her Castle" ~ Real Party Feature!

Another delightful Princess party to show you today! Submitted by Leora of 'Party Cakes and Cupcakes by Leora', of her daughter Alyssa's 4th Birthday.

Dessert table edged with pretty pink tulle set the scene for this gorgeous princess party complete with princess hat, crowns & of course a Castle cake!

Now you may see a trend of cakes being a highlight for me (yes i'm just slightly addicted to sweets) but can you honestly look at this cake and not want to devour your computer screen?  A gorgeous three layer Neapolitan Mudcake ( a layer of strawberry white chocolate mudcake, vanilla white chocolate mudcake and chocolate mudcake with a layer of chocolate ganache in between each layer of cake.) Yum!! Not to mention how perfectly it was decorated into this fabulous princess castle, just stunning!

Other pretty highlights are the lovely Princess banner, chocolate wrappers and party box labels by Stockberry Studios and gorgeous Robert Gordon baking cups filled with lollies and popcorn; I love seeing baking cups used other than for cupcakes.  So simple but so effective!

I am super excited to introduce our first featured Dessert Table/Birthday Party, submitted by Emily of Candy Couture, Perth. A stunning dessert table 'Fit for a Little Princess'.

With a mix of beautifully decorated and handmade cupcakes, meringues and sweets, Emily styled this elegant table in a delightful blend of pinks and greens, creating the perfect setting for her sweet baby girl Amani's 1st birthday.

The highlight for me is the seven tier cupcake tower with gorgeous decorated top feature tier, with diamonte encrusted initial, simply stunning and super sweet!
